It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

Well not long now until Christmas! The count down has begun and i'm all excited.
We have bought our little tree, settled him in with a bit of water and then set about decorating him and the house on Sunday with Christmas songs blaring and the Christmas pud mix bubbling away in its bainmarie. The weather man keeps threatening terrible weather but so far so good here in the South East of Britain.

My Etsy shop still has its sale on, free shipping on everything until Christmas day when you enter the code WEDDING at checkout. Pop over now for some special deals and maybe some last minute xmas cards?

The above image was a custom commission from a dear friend of mine for her hubby for Christmas (its of her two children) Just remember if you would like a custom commission just drop me a message on Etsy. (shop link over on the right hand side)
I hope you are all well and enjoying the festive spirit? I cannot believe in 22 days it will finally be here, eeeek!

Hardwood grows slowly

As the evenings draw in and the temperature has finally dropped we have been making the most of the cosy snug time indoors.
We have roasted chestnuts, drank mulled wine and lit the fire for the first time this year.
I love this time of year with its golden leaves and bright crisp days. If only January and February could stay this pretty.

I have uploaded a set of Christmas cards into my shop. The set is £6.00 for 6 x A5 cards with envelopes and they come wrapped and posted next day, that works out a £1.00 a card! bargain :)

I have also been working on a custom commission for a friend, it's of her two little boys and will be given to their dad as part of his Christmas present! Such a sweet idea. I love custom commissions, it's such a nice feeling to know you are creating something somebody will cherish.

I always get the feeling that November forces you to go slowly, take things easy and this is what i am trying my best to do. As i read on a favourite blog of mine recently; Hardwood grows slowly, we should all live by this motto!
